1. What SellPile does

SellPile helps users analyze resale items, create selling plans, generate listing drafts, improve product photos, and review stale listings. The app works from photos, user-entered item details, marketplace listing screenshots, account data, payment status, credits, and saved plans.

For EU/EEA data protection purposes, the data controller is the SellPile business/operator identified in checkout receipts, account communications, or support replies. Contact: support@sellpile.app.

2. Information we collect

• Account information, including email address, user identifier, sign-in status, marketing consent, language, country, platform preferences, and account settings.
• Uploaded photos, listing screenshots, item names, categories, brand or size details you confirm, condition notes, and other content you submit.
• Generated output, including detected items, selling plans, price ranges, platform suggestions, listing drafts, Rescue reports, saved plans, and credit history.
• Payment and billing records from our payment provider, including checkout session IDs, plan or pack purchased, amount, currency, subscription identifiers, and credit grants. SellPile does not store full payment card numbers.
• Lifecycle email events, such as plan preview viewed, checkout started, purchase completed, listing copied, exported plan, low credits, unsubscribe status, and email delivery status.
• Technical information such as browser/device data, timestamps, request logs, error logs, rate-limit signals, and security events. Server logs should not intentionally store private raw images.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide the app, save plans, process payments, grant credits, send transactional messages, send marketing messages when you consent, improve reliability, prevent abuse, investigate errors, comply with legal obligations, and protect SellPile, users, and payment systems.

4. AI and third-party processors

Uploaded photos and listing data may be sent to AI, image processing, email, payment, hosting, analytics, storage, and authentication providers only as needed to deliver SellPile features, secure the app, process payments, or operate the service. Do not upload sensitive personal images, identity documents, payment cards, private paperwork, or any content you do not want processed by service providers.

Providers may process data in countries outside your country or outside the EU/EEA. Where required, SellPile relies on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, provider security terms, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

5. Legal bases

Where EU/EEA data protection law applies, SellPile may process data because it is necessary to provide the service you request, because you consented, because we have a legitimate interest in security, fraud prevention and product reliability, or because we must comply with legal obligations.

6. Emails and consent

Marketing emails are opt-in. You can unsubscribe from tips, reminders, and discount emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. Purchase confirmations, account access, billing notices, security notices, and service messages may still be sent when needed.

7. Retention

We keep account records, saved plans, credits, billing history, lifecycle email records, and support records for as long as reasonably needed to provide SellPile, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, comply with accounting or legal obligations, and enforce our terms. You may request deletion, but some records may be retained where required for legal, tax, accounting, security, chargeback, fraud-prevention, or dispute reasons.

8. Your responsibilities

You must have the right to upload content you submit. Do not upload illegal, private, sensitive, harmful, infringing, or third-party confidential content. You are responsible for checking outputs before using them in marketplace listings.

9. Automated processing and AI outputs

SellPile uses automated systems to generate item candidates, price ranges, sell/bundle/skip suggestions, listing drafts, photo enhancements, and Rescue reports. These outputs are suggestions for you to review and are not decisions with legal or similarly significant effects by themselves. You choose whether to edit, copy, publish, sell, donate, or discard any item.

10. Security

SellPile uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect account and service data. No online service can guarantee perfect security. You are responsible for using a secure email account, keeping access links private, and telling us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.

11. Children

SellPile is not intended for children. Do not use SellPile if you are not old enough to enter into a contract or use paid digital services in your country without parent or guardian involvement.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or export personal data, and to withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
